National Education and Training Commitee (NETAC)

Rural and Remote Committee

This national working group was established in May 2000 with the following objective:

"To assist ACSA develop a range of strategies and policy recommendations that will promote the capacity of aged and community services in rural and remote areas to provide access to quality care on a par with services in urban areas, and which will support and ensure their ongoing viability." The working group has developed a Work Plan for 2005-2007 Rural & Remote Work Plan 2006/2007

The working group is made up of state representatives who have experience and expertise in this area and they are:

National Community Care Committee (NCCAC)

ACSA has established a national Community Care Advisory Committee in response to its large and growing representative role for the community care sector. The Committee provides a forum to consider and address community care issues nationally.

The Committee's has a 2008 Work Plan. Committee Members are as follows:

The Committee has been proactive in lobbying for reform of community care to address issues such as the number of programs used to fund its services.

Housing and Retirement Living Committee

ACSA's National Housing and Retirement Living Advisory Committee has been convened to focus on the wide range of issues in the provision of suitable, affordable and accessible housing and accommodation (including retirement villages) for older people, younger people with disabilities and their carers. The Committee has developed a Work Plan for 2007-2008. Members of the Committee are:

Residential Care ADVISORY Committee

The Residential Care Advisory Committee was established in June 2002 to harness the residential care expertise and skills that exist within the Federation and to provide input to the development of national policy in this area.

NATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMITTEE (NETAC)

In May 2003, ACSA established the National Education and Training Advisory Committee to harness the education and training expertise that exists within the Federation. The committee provides a forum to address education and training issues at a national level and co-ordinate and share Federation activities and resources. Members of the Committee are:
